Under the supervision of The KANPE Foundation, an organization co-founded by Régine Chassagne of Arcade Fire, and Dominique Anglade, Quebec Deputy, the school in Baille Tourible came to be incorporated into our network in 2016. It is closest to the city of Thomonde, in the Central Plateau, but students have to walk up to 45 minutes to get to the school. It takes a long, bumpy car ride up the mountain and past the Summits school of Bernaco to reach it. In recent years, thanks to the young leaders of the community, the school has grown with the addition of a high school section and has become one of the focal points in the life of the community. The school stands out because of its amazing marching band, and agriculture and reforestation projects. Additionally, there is an annual summer camp which is greatly anticipated each year by the youth.
