Our Sponsor a School program helps connect you - and your family, school, religious organization, or team of sponsors - to a community and a school in Haiti in need of support. By sponsoring a Summits school you will support a holistic education system that meets the needs of the whole child. Your sponsorship will help defray the costs of text books and education materials, health programs, school gardens, curriculum development and teachers’ salaries. You’ll be regularly updated from the Summits team with progress reports and photos and videos from the community you’re impacting. You can be a catalyst for lasting change.

Transforming Education in Haiti’s Central Plateau

Summits operates a network of 40 primary schools in the remote mountains of Haiti’s Central Plateau.  While this region is marked by the lowest literacy rate in the Western Hemisphere, we have seen remarkable improvement in the reading and writing capacities of students throughout our network. Following this year’s final exam results, the success of our schools have increased from 65 percent success rate to 78 percent! With 13 of our schools’ sixth graders achieving a 100 percent pass rate!

Our schools serve as a Model Network for the Haitian Ministry of Education as we work to transform the education system for the benefit of students, families, communities and indeed, the country.
