Ecole Bon Samaritain de Savanne Longue
#SPONSORED
This school’s story starts with a formidable woman by the name of Marie-Claude. Originally serving as a health agent, Marie-Claude came to Summits Education seeking our help to support a school she started to serve the children in the area who were not attending school. Savanna Longue was the first school in the network to partner with Girls Voices, a media mentorship program that sponsored 7 of the school’s girls to create their own photo and documentary projects. Competing in an international competition, seventh-grader Viergnelie Noel won the “Change Maker” award for her documentary about her dream of building a road for her community so women and members have greater access to healthcare and school. She is currently spearheading a women’s hygiene program in the school.
